Cambridge Healthtech Institute’s 10th Annual

Advances in Purification & Recovery

Optimizing Downstream Efficiency

August 21-22, 2024

Join us at the Advances in Purification & Recovery conference, where industry leaders, innovators, and scientists converge to tackle the new frontiers in downstream processing. We will deep dive into the purification complexities of next-generation modalities and complex biologics such as bispecifics, multispecifics, viral vectors, cells for cell therapy, mRNA, oligonucleotides, and more. Learn how new materials, technologies, and approaches are improving purification and recovery efficiencies; gain insights into the power of automation, CFD, digital twins, and machine learning with the potential to revolutionize the downstream field.

Coverage will include, but is not limited to:

PURIFYING NEXT-GENERATION MOLECULES AND COMPLEX BIOLOGICS

  • Bispecifics, multispecifics, ADCs, fusions, glycoproteins
  • Viral vectors (AAVs, adenovirus, lentivirus), cells for cell therapies, mRNA, exosomes
  • Oligonucleotides, peptides

NEW MATERIALS, TECHNOLOGIES, AND APPROACHES

  • New affinity solutions
  • New ion-exchange columns and formats
  • High-capacity ligands
  • Rapid cycling
  • Custom affinity resins
  • New membrane technologies
  • Magnetic nanoparticles
  • Microfluidic platforms
  • Depth filtration, ultrafiltration

ADVANCES IN TECHNOLOGIES FOR PROCESS UNDERSTANDING AND CONTROL

  • Applications of automation, computational fluid dynamics, modeling, and digital twins in downstream processing
  • Use of AI in process validation—predicting when machines might break down, anticipate failures
  • Scale down modeling for filtration, harvesting, chromatography, etc.
  • Scale down model qualification in AAV manufacturing

The deadline for priority consideration is February 2, 2024.

All proposals are subject to review by session chairpersons and/or the Scientific Advisory Committee to ensure the overall quality of the conference program. Additionally, as per Cambridge Healthtech Institute’s policy, a select number of vendors and consultants who provide products and services will be offered opportunities for podium presentation slots based on a variety of Corporate Sponsorships.
