Cambridge Healthtech Institute’s 9th Annual
Optimizing Cell Line Development
Enhancing Expression
Part of CHI's Ninth Annual The Bioprocessing Summit

August 24-25, 2017 | Westin Copley Place | Boston, MA

The Optimizing Cell Line Development conference brings together cell line development experts who share real-world strategies for quickly achieving cell lines that meet bottom-line goals. Their practical and detailed insights illustrate how to best optimize codons, construct vectors, and how to select and engineer clones and host systems, while maintaining stability and consistency. Gaining a greater understanding of cells through sequencing and the omics sciences will also be addressed, including the CHO genome research, glycoengineering, systems biology, assays, and pathway delineation. In addition, challenges for introducing new technologies will be discussed, along with an overview of industrial trends and regulatory perspectives.

Topics may include, but are not limited to:

  • Codon optimization
  • Vector construction
  • Clone selection & optimization
  • Host system selection & use
  • Cell line selection
  • Cell line attributes
  • High producer cell lines/industrial use
  • Regulatory perspectives on new technologies
  • Systems Biology
  • Glycoengineering
  • Omics technologies
  • Metabolomics
  • Hurdles for introducing new technologies
  • Sequencing the CHO genome
  • Gene expression/expression levels
  • Transcriptomic data
  • Predictive modeling
  • Identifying the best hosts
  • Understanding hosts to control phenotypes
  • Engineering hosts
  • Designing a cell line for biosimilars
  • Arrays/microarrays
  • QPCR
  • Process conditions & robustness
  • Developing new cell lines

  • Cell line serviceability through late-stage product development
  • Trends in industrial cell line development, such as CRISPR
  • Protocols & case studies

Cell Line Development experts who wish to present their knowledge and expertise to their colleagues are asked to click here to submit an abstract. Remember to specify the conference that you are interested in and please provide your full contact information.

The deadline for submission is February 17, 2017.

All proposals are subject to review by the Scientific Advisory Committee to ensure the highest quality of the conference program. Please note that due to limited speaking slots, preference is given to pharmaceutical and biotech companies, regulators and those from academia. Additionally, vendors/consultants who provide products and services to these biopharmaceutical companies are offered opportunities for podium presentation slots based on a variety of Corporate Sponsorships.
